When Rosemary Marks, co-owner and Producer at Tall Orders Productions, first began work in the film industry, her employers discovered she had the uncanny ability to quickly come up with solutions to knotty problems. This has served her well throughout her life. When starting her own production company the name "Tall Orders" appeared to be a no-brainer, as 'tall orders' are encountered every day by a producer.
If Tall Orders Productions had a creed it could be defined as striving for excellence and creativity, within an atmosphere of mutual support. Whether it involves producing a movie, TV show, photography or writing, all will receive the same level of care and expertise.

I was born and raised in London and had never anticipated that my life would revolve around travel and international film production. The early days, as a PA on "Circus of Blood", a Joan Crawford movie, that necessitated my standing in the wings of the circus tent and carry Ms. Crawford's voluminous handbag that held numerous items of sustenance, to working in Italy, Denmark, South Africa, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, the Galapagos Islands, etc.

I cut my teeth in the bowels of the Australian Broadcasting Commission in Melbourne, before applying for an Assistant Editor position, just to get out of the mail room, without knowing what an Assistant Editor was or did. I wanted to be a stills photographer. That was my goal and I was enrolled in night school at the Royal College of Melbourne. But then the ABC changed my shift and I had to choose between being an unemployed photographic student or job security with the ABC. A heartbreaking decision, but one I have never regretted as directing, editing and stills photography have and continued to absorb my life to my great satisfaction.
